It would be helpful if you were able to add a note/reason for absence when you mark a Service User (participant) Absent in the Register. It would be even more helpful if the note you added flowed into the Progress Notes for that individual.

This is resolved by the ability to use tags on the Register for indicating reasons for absence.

Hi Shannon, thank you for sharing this! Although the following does not flow into the Progress Notes feature, you may add a custom Tag to evidence the absence reason and may also enter a note within the individual's Register notes. Let us know if those features aren't enough to meet your needs or if you need help setting them up.
