I ran into this most recently while pulling register logs, but it would apply to exports and billing as well. Currently, the inactive group has to be selected to see records of participants who have since been changed to inactive. This makes it impossible to pull historical logs without the need to cobble together lists if any participants have since gone inactive. It would make everything much easier and reliable as a reference if instead of active/inactive on/off switch, you could instead set a deactivation date that would allow participants to appear in searches as long as they were active within the date range of the search.

I am currently pulling records for our annual audit and have put a lot of time playing detective to figure who was included in a batch of monthly bills recording in our accounting software who no longer comes up when search for register logs.

It would also be nice if services in billing worked in a similar fashion that would allow you to see which service/rate was applied to participate at a given moment in time rather to whatever they may currently have assigned.
